Dana Dwinell-Yardley is an enthusiastic contra dancer, dance organizer, and most recently, dance caller. While the view from the stage is quite different than the view from the floor, Dana takes great delight in making sure the dance is smooth and joyful for everyone no matter which location she’s in. She also enjoys thinking and talking about inclusive and welcoming dance culture, communication and consent, intergenerational community, and the best way to teach a dance.
A native Vermonter, Dana is proud to have Montpelier as her home dance. She’s probably the one whooping loudly from the back of the hall when the tune changes excitingly. Dana would like to appreciate all of her dance mentors and friends who continue to encourage her in this challenging and satisfying adventure of calling.
